What are EPDs?

Environmental Product Declarations EPDs are comprehensive, independently verified documents that provide transparent and reliable information about the environmental impact of our construction materials throughout their full lifecycle. These declarations are independently verified, based on rigorous assessments using standardised methodologies, allowing our customers to make informed decisions while reducing their own environmental footprint. By identifying areas where the product has an environmental impact, we can create opportunities to develop a more sustainable portfolio through more efficient use of resources, waste reduction and other practices.

At Promat, we have a wide range of products and technologies that we bring to market. We have dedicated teams working to ensure that our core technologies are covered by EPDs. We recognise the importance of providing our customers with the knowledge they need to make sustainable choices. By providing EPDs, we support our customers including architects, engineering companies and general contractors whose projects aim to gain a green building certification such as LEED, BREEAM, HQE or DGNB. Furthermore, it enables our customers to select products by comparing data and to be able to conduct the LCA at building level.

Promat EPDs published to date have been verified by IBU (Germany), INIES (France) and EPD International System (Sweden).
