At the 2014 Hearth and Home exhibition visitors will have the opportunity to see the new PROMAFOUR® system launched by Promat UK’s High Performance Insulation (HPI) division.

The new PROMAFOUR® system is the result of the company’s extensive experience, and has been designed to help create reliable and effective insulated fireplace and stove casings which can resist continuous temperatures of up to 1000°C.

Promat UK’s HPI division specialises in the design and manufacturing of innovative products and integrated solutions for various types of thermal insulation applications. The new PROMAFOUR® system is the result of the company’s extensive experience, and has been designed to help create reliable and effective insulated fireplace and stove casings which can resist continuous temperatures of up to 1000°C. This allows the system to create installations which comply with Building Regulations Part J (Combustion Appliances and Fuel Storage Systems). The PROMAFOUR® system includes various components such as the calcium silicate and cement-based insulation boards, plus joint filler, glue, fixing studs and primer. These components can be combined to create casings against brick or timber walls, and even around free-standing stoves, making the system ideal for both new-build and refurbishment projects.

Once installed, the system acts as a thermal barrier and reflects the majority of heat from the stove back into the room, distributing it evenly and creating a warm and comfortable interior environment. The system has low thermal expansion coefficients and low shrinkage characteristics, which minimises the risk of cracking and so ensures long-lasting performance.

“There was a gap in the market for a new insulation solution which could be used as a wall lining around high temperature multi-fuel stoves in domestic properties,” says Promat’s HPI Sales Director, Peter Keenan. “The PROMAFOUR® system builds on the excellent performance and reputation of our many fire protection and insulation solutions, and makes a new level of performance available for high-temperature chimney breast and fireplace applications.”

A new PROMAFOUR® system product brochure and installation guide is now available.
