The event took place in Škofja Loka and attracted more than 40 architects, project managers/leaders and other attendees interested in issues related to fire protection of steel structures in buildings.

Intumescent coating, often referred to as intumescent paint, is one of the easiest and most efficient means of protecting load bearing elements of buildings against fire as it delays their collapse by insulating its structural elements.

Fire protection of steel structures is best considered in the planning phase, as later unsolvable problems may occur. Depending on building purposes, there are 3 main choices, namely fire stopping paint, fire stopping boards or fire stopping sprays.
