They are designed to contain fire and smoke, preventing them from spreading between floors through service penetrations

Our fire rated PROMADUCT® kitchen exhaust ducts offer a unique cladding solution maintaining comaprtmentation integrity.  They are designed and tested to contain fire and smoke within the exhaust duct for a period of typically 60 to 120 minutes. They prevent the spreading of fire to adjacent rooms, floors, or structural elements.
