DURASTEEL^® was used for impact fire rated ducting, in conjunction with other Promat fire protection materials, to protect the building’s structural steelwork and the building’s lift shafts.

A number of products from the PROMASEAL^® fire stopping range were also used to seal gaps around services in walls, partitions and floors including PROMASEAL^® Fire Barrier, Intumescent Acrylic Sealant, Pipewrap and Fire Compound Extra Strength. The PROMASEAL^® range has been independently fire tested to provide up to 240 minutes fire protection as part of a passive fire protection system.

The importance of sealing any gaps in fire resisting constructions is vital to ensure the system works to its optimum ability in order to save life and property. Such gaps are typically found where services penetrate walls and floors, but could also include gaps left for structural movement.
