FSi Promat has launched a new digital tool — the Quick Selector — designed to help installers quickly identify the most suitable fire stopping products for a wide range of applications. Bringing together essential technical data, performance standards and supporting documentation in one easy-to-use platform, the tool ensures confident, compliant product selection and installation.
FSi Promat has launched a new online tool to make it easier and quicker for installers to access information on its fire stopping range, helping to identity the best product to use.
The fire stopping specialist has launched its new Quick Selector online tool, providing fast access to technical details to support accurate, compliant installation.
The searchable database contains all the details installers need, including test standards, performance details, and supporting third party documentation for particular applications and products in order to ensure correct use when reinstating compartmentation, essential to effective passive fire protection in buildings.
With live links embedded in the documentation, Quick Selector provides an intuitive solution when searching for information on the scope of a product with installers able to search different products, standard details and applications, such as for use in flexible, rigid and load bearing walls.
Each technical detail includes a series of illustrations and descriptions of correct installation. All other information, such as related TDS, SDS and DOP are available online.
Emma Taylor, Marketing Manager at FSi Promat, said: “Having easy access to tested solutions – and being able to search this – will support installers in ensuring fire stopping is being used in the correct way and has certification that supports use in a wide range of scenarios.
“While there are countless scenarios in which fire stopping may be required, the tool provides comprehensive access to data and will meet around 90 per cent of project demands, while FSi Promat will be able to offer support for projects that fall outside of that scope.
“We are keen to support installers wherever we can, and we believe this will be an asset to installers looking for up-to-date, reliable data to ensure installation is in line with the tested solution. This also supports the need for ease of access to information in line with the traceability needed to support the golden thread of information.”
