While we might sometimes take safety for granted, it is crucial that we work and live in an environment that protects us when things go wrong. This is why we offer the highest standard in fire safety in homes and offices, but equally in schools, hospitals, shopping malls, airports and tunnels. As the way we live, work and build constantly evolves, Promat wants to help maintain this high level of safety by building awareness around the importance of passive fire protection and by offering new fire protection solutions.
We introduce new, lightweight materials to build safe spaces to work and live in. As the world cities expand, high-rise buildings offer new ways of living to a growing world population, while old neighborhoods and buildings are being revamped to serve new purposes. It is crucial that we design and install these buildings in such a way that they offer a healthy & sustainable environment that can withstand an outbreak of fire and will allow fire fighters enough time to rescue its occupants, save the building and limit the impact on the environment. Promat wants to contribute to make these new dwellings safe, healthy and sustainable for today’s and tomorrow’s generations.
We look for alternatives for increasingly scarce resources like vermiculite and graphite to develop new materials that will keep people safe from fire while respecting the planet’s resources. We constantly optimise our production process to reduce our consumption of water and to limit our use of fossil energy. We recycle the water we use and develop new recipes for fire boards that need less water and energy. We want to help build a carbon neutral economy and lead the way in circular construction.
