In 2016 the Tunnel team started to support colleagues in Poland during initial talks to supply PROMATECT® boards for a new tunnel South of Poland - Rabka Zdroj – situated 60km from Krakow - a part of S7 Expressway in direction to Zakopane (Polish biggest mountain resort town)

First request for fire protection was based on ISO 240’ fire scenario. Prescription was originally based upon our PROMATECT® board solution.

The prescription was changed to a spray application during the project. The fire scenario was also changed. This time in our favour to a RWS120’. We supplied the following products: FENDOLITE®MII, SBR Bonding Latex, Plastic Coated Galvanized (PCG) mesh.

Securing this project has been a great example of effective collaboration between the Global Tunnel Team and the Local Business Units.

On this occasion Teamwork really did make the Dream Work resulting in the largest ever single order for the Promat brand in Poland.
