Great Fire Test results for PROMATECT 100X®

We tested 4 solutions in 2 fire labs in Italy and here are the impressive results:

• We got El 90 on a suspended own fire resistant ceiling (EN 1364-2) composed by 2 boards of PROMATECT 100x® 12mm (one on each side), steel frame and mineral wool 75mm, density 60 Kg/m3, with inspection hatches, spot lights, suspended lamp, smoke detectors, penetration of copper pipe (medical gas in hospital), large duct penetration, electric cable and additional weight laying on the system.

• We got an amazing 140 minutes (REI 120 + extra time) on a loadbearing concrete/brick slab protected with a single board of PROMATECT 100x® 12mm with 90° angle, cable trays + electrical cable.

• We have obtained a unique result (El 60) on a shaft done only with 2 x 12 mm PROMATECT 100x®, with steel profile exposed to fire, inspection hatch, electrical socket protection, lamp and combustible pipe penetration. The shaft can be installed up to 4.200 high and endless width!

• Last but not least: our latest test done today on a shaft done with 3 x 20 mm PROMATECT 100x®, with steel profile exposed to fire, with inspection hatch, electrical socket protection, lamp fixed on the fire side and combustible pipe penetration. In this case the shaft can be installed up to 4.000 high and endless width.

We now can launch new solutions that will make passive fire protection projects more accessible for specifiers, installers and drywallers and at the same time, perfectly safe for people and buildings. While the board is very easy to install with simple tools, it will protect people and buildings against fire in a way only Promat can.
