Our mission

Safety is a condition for people to grow, prosper and enjoy life. While we might sometimes take safety for granted, it is crucial that we work and live in an environment that protects us when things go wrong. This is why we offer the highest standard in fire safety in homes and offices, but equally in schools, hospitals, shopping malls, airports and tunnels. As the way we live, work and build constantly evolves, Promat wants to help maintain this high level of safety by building awareness around the importance of passive fire protection and by offering new fire protection solutions.

We look for alternatives for increasingly scarce resources like vermiculite and graphite to develop new materials that will keep people safe from fire while respecting the planet’s resources. We constantly optimise our production process to reduce our consumption of water and to limit our use of fossil energy. We recycle the water we use and develop new recipes for fire boards that need less water and energy. We want to help build a carbon neutral economy and lead the way in circular construction.
